Welcome back listeners! It’s been awhile! I have Kelsea Warren on the show who started off as a client of mine, and now I’m thrilled to have her as a guest on the podcast.
Kelsea is a workplace well-being coach and consultant. Her mission is to enhance employee well-being through awareness education and action around workplace values. Kelsea’s background is in mental health and worked as a therapist before becoming a coach, and she realized there wasn’t really anything bridging the gap between what we can do to enhance employees while balancing business needs.

What is occupational burnout?
Occupational burnout is chronic stress over time in an occupational setting. What causes that varies in one of 6 ways:
- Control and autonomy over your role
- Workload
- Reward and recognition
- Rommunity or work environment
- Fairness
- Values
What are the 3 symptoms of burnout?
- Mental and physical exhaustion
- Cynicism and detachment
- Reduced professional efficacy
How to heal from burnout
The first step to healing from burnout is identifying the root cause of stress. What is causing stress in your life? What is causing you anxiety? What needs work or improvement? Where are you frustrated and not making progress? Next, inventory the resources you have. What is going well? What can you do more of to reduce demands? Break it all down into 3 categories: you, your work, your work environment.
